Margaret “Carol” Sumey Wilson entered God's eternal care on February 27, 2018 at Centre Crest, Bellefonte, PA with her family by her side, after a brief illness. She was born February 21, 1937, at home in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Carol was the fourth child of Benjamin Clyde Sumey and Sara Jane (Fearer) Sumey whom predeceased her.

She was employed by HRB Singer, (now Raytheon) in the Finance Department as a Jr. Accountant, retiring in December, 1998.

Carol was an active member of Fairbrook United Methodist Church of Pennsylvania Furnace. Carol served faithfully for many years as the Church Treasurer, in addition to many committees. Her church family brought her great joy and many friendships.

Carol was also active in several theater productions at the Boalsburg Playhouse in Boalsburg. Carol enjoyed baking, ceramics and sewing. Her greatest joy; however were her grandchildren who filled her life with much excitement and happiness. She also enjoyed her travels to Uniontown PA and Westminster MD to visit with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Jean Wilson of State College, with whom she resided with the past four years. Her son and daughter in law, Herbert A. and Carol E. Wilson, III of Westminster Maryland. Also surviving are her five grandchildren, Herbert A. Wilson, IV, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Joshua N. Wilson, of Leesburg, Virginia, David A. Reggio of State College, PA, Jeffrey J. Reggio of Springfield, New Jersey and only granddaughter Lindsey E. Wilson, of Westminster Maryland.

She is also survived by her siblings, Betty Jean Harring of Uniontown, PA, Merwin Sumey of Hopwood, PA, Patricia Kahl of Uniontown, PA and James Sumey of Uniontown, PA. Carol's brother, Benjamin Sumey, predeceased her on February 9, 2018. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Koch Funeral Home at 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801 on March 2nd from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 3rd at 11 am preceded by a 1 hour visitation at 10 am at Fairbrook United Methodist Church 4201 W. Whitehall Road, Pennsylvania Furnace, with the Reverend Gene McCallips officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
