Marjorie “Marge” Lore Master, 78, of State College, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Village at Penn State Atrium.

Born August 25, 1939, in Millville, Marge was the daughter of the late Edward and Clara Bennett Lore. On July 2, 1966, she married Gerald “Jerry” Louis Master, who preceded her in death in June of 1981.

Marge is survived by her daughter, Melissa M. Cavell, of Bellefonte; step-daughter, Susan Albright of Reading; step-son, Eric Master and wife, Miriam, of White Fish Bay, WI; eight grandchildren, Aaron Master and his wife, Jean Liao; Sarah Master and husband, David Shirinyan; Judy Master and her husband, Frank Baird; Travis Albright; Ellen Albright; Gabriella Cavell; Angelo Cavell; and Olivia Cavell; and four great-grandchildren, Leah and Hannah Baird and Alec and Max Shirinyan.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marge was predeceased in death by her step-son, Steven Master, and brother, Morton Lore, III.

She graduated from Millville High School in 1956. Marge received her bachelor's degree from Montclair University in Education. After she married Jerry, she began teaching in Reading School District in the Special Education Department.

Marge became a member of the Park Forest United Methodist Church when she moved to State College. She enjoyed singing in the choir and playing piano. Prior to moving to State College, she was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Reading for nearly 50 years, where she was also a choir member, and guest organist.

She was an active, life member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Park Forest United Methodist Church, 1833 Park Forest Ave, State College, with the Reverend Don Smith officiating.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Laureldale Cemetery, Reading, with a tentative date of Saturday, April 29, 2018.
