Obituary of Marlin Lucas, 82

Marlin E. "Gene" Lucas, 82, of rural Julian died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at Centre Crest nursing home in Bellefonte.

Mr. Lucas was born July 27, 1928, in Bellefonte, a son of the late Austin C. and Joyce K. Alexander Lucas. On July 5, 1936, he married Gertrude Sager Lucas, who preceded him in death Oct. 27, 2002. Prior to his retirement, he worked in the Tool and Die Department at Cerro Metal Products. He was of the Protestant faith. Mr. Lucas enjoyed camping.

He is survived by two sons, Robert E. and his wife, Sherry Lucas, of rural Julian and Timothy A. Lucas and his companion, Mary Walker, of Howard; five grandchildren, Jeremy S. Lucas, Michael W. Lucas, Matthew R. Lucas, Robert S. Lucas and Teri R. Kresovich; and four great-grandchildren, Morgan Lucas, Megan Kresovich, Ryan Kresovich and Katelyn M. Lucas.

There will be no public visitation. Graveside committal services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at Advent Cemetery, Boggs Township, with Pastor Ellen Scamahorn officiating. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs Township.
