Martha J. Lose, 84, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully at Mount Nittany Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends, on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Born on October 8, 1930, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Virginia E. (Cupp) Morrison. On December 17, 1957, she married the late Nevin C. Lose of Bellefonte.

Marty’s love for taking care of people lead her to become a nurse, working for the Centre County Hospital and Centre Crest, where she retired.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Lose of Bellefonte, two grandchildren, Jayson Lose (Brandy), Ashley Lyons (Michael), five great-grandchildren; Adeline, Jaylee, Maxon, Maceyn and Reagan, one sister, Leona Debraskey (Richard), one brother James Morrison (Jane), two brother in laws, Merril Kellander and Paul Schaeffer, and one sister in law Hope Morrison. Also surviving Marty are numerous nieces and nephews, her cat Stewart and her dog Sophie.

She was preceded in death by her husband Nevin, three brothers; William Morrison, John Morrison, Larney Morrison, along with three sisters; Christine Schaeffer, Donna Gallagher and Lorraine Kellander.
Marty loved to watch Pirates baseball, but more than anything she loved her family. Her family was everything to her, especially the five great-grandchildren that called her GiGi, she lit up every time they were around, up until her last days.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, PA, from 6-8 PM. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014, at 2:00 PM, at the Buffalo Run United Methodist Church, 1667 Buffalo Run Rd, Bellefonte, PA, with Rev. Calvin Miller officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
