Obituary of Mary C. Weston, 89

Mary C. Weston, 89, of Osceola Mills, died Monday, May 31, 2010, at home surrounded by her husband and daughters.

She was born Sept. 16, 1920, in Osceola Mills, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Buckley) Maher. She graduated from the former Osceola Mills High School, class of 1938. She also attended St. Bonaventure University, St. Bonaventure, and N.Y. She married Samuel W. Weston on Aug. 15, 1950, he survives at home.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Osceola Mills, the Rosary Society of the church, and C.D. of A., Court St. Victoria #646, Houtzdale. She was a homemaker and a former organist of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Osceola Mills for 25 years and CCD teacher of the church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mary F. Puffer and her husband William, of State College, Evelyn A. Witters and her husband Michael, of Osceola Mills, and Helen R. Blake and her husband, Lawrence, of Osceola Mills; eight grandchildren, Travis Blake, Melissa Helsel, Timothy Blake, Mark Puffer, Kristen Krause, Samuel Blake, Scott Puffer, and Maureen Witters; five great-grandchildren; and a niece, Susan Turner.

There will be no public visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 3, 2010, at 1 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Osceola Mills, with Rev. Father Robert Horgas officiating. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
