Mary Ellen Crust, 67, of Boalsburg, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011 in State College.

Born on December 9, 1943 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Walter C. and Verna (Wagner) Patton.

On January 23, 1960, she was married to Jay Keith Crust, who preceded her in death on August 19, 1987.

Mary was a graduate of the State College Area High School and Empire Beauty School.

She was a member of the State College Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Crust was the owner of Floral Designs by Mary in Huntingdon. She also was employed at Weis Markets on South Atherton Street in State College and also at Michael’s Crafts, where she was a floral designer until her retirement.

Mary enjoyed floral arranging, boating, camping, traveling, and attending her grandsons’ sporting events, but she loved and cherished the time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Scitti (Tim); three sons, Jay L. Crust (Debra), Dennis J. Crust and his fiance Sheila Black, and Michael S. Crust; one brother, Walter L. Patton; and five grandchildren, Jason K. Crust (Brooke), Matthew Crust, Jared Crust, Alex Scitti, and Austin Scitti. She is also survived by a niece, Sherry Tischler (Dale) and a nephew, Jerry Patton.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, September 26, 2011 at the State College Assembly of God Church, 2201 University Drive Ext., State College. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, beginning at 10 AM from the State College Assembly of God Church, with the Reverend Harry Brotzman Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow at Centre County Memorial Park.
