Mary passed into the gates of heaven on July 19, 2015. She was born on November 24, 1925, to James Martin and Olive Dorothy Ellenberger McKivison who preceded her in death, as well as brothers, Blaine, James, Raymond, Dallas, Albert, Clair, Connie, Russell and a sister, Jona Pearl.

Living siblings include Harold, Veda, Robert, Ray, Johnny and Benny living in Beech Creek and Lock Haven. She is also survived by two daughters, Sandra Evans, of Bellefonte and Bonita Weston, living in Beech Creek; six grandchildren, Heide Port, Heather McNichol and Brandon Evans, of Bellefonte, JB Evans, of State College and John and Jamie Nearhood, of Lock Haven; 13 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She worked for Penn Tran from 1953 to 1982, when she retired. She loved gardening and providing her family and neighbors with a variety of jellies, special salsa and other fruits of her labors.

She was an avid Penn State football fan and adored Joe Paterno. Her final years were spent with neighbors and family and she enjoyed watching baseball and football on tv.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and will be remembered for her humor and kindness.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at an upcoming family reunion at Sayers Dam where she spent many sunny days basking in the sunshine of her Creator.
