Mary Louise Sussman Levine, 78, of State College, died Monday, September 27, 2010, at Mount Nittany Medical Centre at State College.

Mary was born March 11, 1932, at West Chester; the daughter of the late Joseph George and Florence Homestead Sussman.

She was married to Howard Milton Levine for fifty two years. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2003.

After graduating from high school she went on to attend nursing school; and served as a volunteer for the American Heart Association. She was a devoted mother and homemaker who liked to bake and was an accomplished cook. Earlier in life she was a member of the Garden Club in State College. Among the things she enjoyed most were bowling, and Penn State and Steelers Football. Mary was exceptionally gifted in and devoted a great deal of time to creating many types of handcrafts.

Surviving her are two daughters, Susan E. Levine of Bellefonte, Patricia Snyder and her husband Larry of State College; two sons, Howard M. Levine of Springfield, MO and James S. Levine and his wife Carol of Florence, SC; three grandchildren, Nicketa Young and her husband Brett, daughter of Patricia. Erica Levine, daughter of James, and Alexander Tate, son of Susan; and two great grandchildren, Madyson Hockenberry and Mya Young.

Private funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
