Maximillian “Max” Barrett Andrus of Snow Shoe left this world on Saturday, August 29, 2015.

Born February 1, 1991, he is the only son of Karen (Hall) Andrus-Smith and the late Leon “Andy” Stanley Andrus, Jr.

Max was beloved by all and gave his all to his family, his employers, and his many, many friends. For a “tough guy,” he had a sensitive heart, gracious soul, and a charismatic personality that drew so many towards him.

His happiest pursuits were BMX biking, fishing, hunting, playing Bass Guitar and “showing up” his grandfather, uncle, cousins, and the other men during any game season; these made for happy family connections and stories. Max was also a skilled poker player. Moore’s Run Hunting Camp has lost a valuable member. Max gave generously of his time teaching kids of all ages bike tricks and repair.

Max is survived by his mother; his grandparents Kenneth and Sharon Hall of Moshannon, and Janet Andrus of Mill Hall; his sisters Nichole Andrus-Adkinson, Sabrina Andrus, and Brittany McCloskey of Texas; his Uncle Stuart (Stephanie) Hall; his Aunt Susan (Todd) Powlus; and his cousins Caleb (Betsy) Powlus, Shanna (Drew) Wheeler, Wyatt (Brittany) Hall, and Merritt Hall. He is also survived by a large extended family who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandfather Leon “Ank” Stanley Andrus, Sr.

Arrangements have been made by Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Home. Memorials will be held at the convenience of family and friends. Donations can be made to Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Highway, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
