Miles E. Huffman, 77, of Centre Hall, died on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.

Born in McVeytown on July 17, 1932, he was a son of the late Daley and Lillian (Machamer) Huffman.

In 1960 in Pleasant Gap, he was married to the former Lois J. Butts, who preceded him in death on February 25, 1987.

Mr. Huffman was employed and retired from Penn State University from the Food Services Department.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors.

He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Musser and her husband Chuck of Centre Hall; one son, David Huffman of Coburn; four sisters, Anna Mary Smith of Burnham, Jean Treaster of Granville, Ruth Armstrong of Mount Union, and Shirley Boonie of Mount Union; five brothers, Charles Bollinger of Ryde, Dallie Huffman of McVeytown, Bruce Huffman of McVeytown, Robert Huffman of Lewistown, and Roy Huffman of Mifflintown; four grandsons, Chuckie Musser, Kyle Underkoffler, Brandon Musser, and Adam Underkoffler; 1 great-granddaughter; and four great-grandsons.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Glenn Huffman.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 South Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall.

Funeral Services will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, September 24, 2009, beginning at 1:30 PM with Pastor Darrell Wireman officiating.

Interment will be at Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery in Centre Hall.
