Obituary of Mollie Swab, 89

Mollie Ione Pifer Swab, 89, of Bellefonte, passed away on December 30, 2015, in Bellefonte. She was the daughter of the late Russell J. and Virginia People born on June 13, 1926 in Henderson Twp., Jefferson Co.

Mollie retired from the Doctors Osteopathic Hospital in Erie. She enjoyed bowling. She loved to yodel and she sang on a DuBois radio station. She was of the Protestant Faith and played the piano in church.

Mollie is survived by two daughters, Sharon Swab Walker Behrer of Julian and Susan K. Swab Kinner of State College; two sons, Allen P. Swab of Erie and Roger D. Swab of Edinboro; two sisters, Jean Pifer Podloger of Gibsonia and Vivian Pifer Wilkins of New Alexandria; one brother, Calvin Pifer of Union City; 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis C. Swab, her brother, Hayes Pifer and her sister, Ruth Pifer Holtem.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring Street, P.O. Box 288, Milesburg, Pa. 16853 in memory of Mollie Ione Pifer Swab.
