Dawn “Mammy” Neidigh, 80, of Bellefonte, formerly of Boalsburg, died peacefully Thursday, October 24, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a long brave battle with cancer.

Born January 2, 1933, in Howard, she was the daughter of the late Frank T. and Josephine Schenck Wallace. On March 27, 1955, she married Ronald W. Neidigh, who survives.

Also surviving are five children, Laurie Stover and her husband, Joe, of Pleasant Gap, Randall W. Neidigh of Bellefonte, Scott W. Neidigh of State College, Kirk D.. Neidigh and his wife, Cindy, of Boalsburg and Lisa D. Neidigh of Bellefonte; one sister, Connie Bamer and her husband, Frank, of State College; two brothers, Christie Wallace and his wife, Nancy, of Burke, VA. and Frank Wallace Jr. and his wife, Flo, of Fairhaven, NY.; one brother-in-law, James Neidigh and his wife, Jean, of State College; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Stover and his wife, Christina, Jordan Aichholz, Andy Reid, Megan and Sean Byler, Tara and Seth Neidigh; two great-grandchildren, Josiah and Kaleb Stover. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Stover.

She was a 1950 graduate of Howard High School.

Dawn was a purchasing agent for the U. S. Pasture Research Laboratory at Penn State, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many years.

Dawn always put her family first and enjoyed their family vacations to Ocean City, N.J. She enjoyed raising roses, was an avid bridge player and Grange Fair tenter. She was a trusted Al-Anon servant and belonged to a local cancer survivor support group.

Visitation will be 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2013, at Faith United Church of Christ, 300 East College Ave., State College, with the Rev. Monica Dawkins-Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
