Obituary of Nancy Martin , 79

Nancy Rose Martin, 79, of Bellefonte passed away peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born on May 29, 1936 in Bellefonte to the late Jerry and Jennie Owens.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert James Martin who passed away in July 2015.

Nancy is also survived by three sons, Robert Martin Jr. (Sandra) and Barry Martin (Denise) of Bellefonte, Randy Martin (Wanda) of Grassflat, and one daughter, Brenda Herman (Greg) of Frisco, Texas. She has 9 grandchildren–Tommy Martin, Tracy Houser, Tonya Luse, Brian Martin, Adam Martin, Austin Martin, Lindsey Martin, Hannah Martin, and Gillian Herman. Two step grandchildren – Andrew and Aleah Wolfe. Nancy also has 11 great grandchildren–Dylan, Logan, Kennedy and Sydney Houser, Raegyn, Luke, Ryleigh, and Jackson Luse, Brady, Hope, and Shayna Martin. Nancy is survived by four sisters – Betty Homan, Jane Miller, Dorothy Rockey, and Shirley Kelly and one brother, Jerry Owens.

Nancy loved to go bowling and was on a league at the Bellefonte Bowling Lanes for over 40 years. She also was a big Penn State fan that attended all the home football games. Nancy enjoyed getting together with her sisters and brother singing and playing music. She will be missed by many family and friends.

Friends and family will be received from 9:30 – 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the First Baptist Church, 539 Jacksonville Rd., Bellefonte, PA 16823. The service will immediately follow with Pastor Aaron Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow the service at Centre County Memorial Park.
