Nellie J. Hall Kline, 88, of Belleville, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Valley View Haven.

Born on July 23, 1924 in Centre Hall, she is a daughter of the late John H. and F. Jane (Meeker) Knarr.

On November 29, 1946, she married Lee S. Hall, who preceded her in death on January 16, 1969. On May 30, 1980 in Centre County, she married her second husband, George E. Kline, who preceded her in death on July 9, 1982.

Nellie was a 1941 graduate of Centre Hall-Potter Township High School and obtained a Business Certificate at the Thompson Institute in Harrisburg.

Earlier in life, Mrs. Kline was employed by the State Government in Harrisburg in the Clerical Department. She also was employed at Penn State University in the Food Services, retiring in 1984.

Nellie was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 779 in Centre Hall and the VFW Auxilary, Post 9575 in Potters Mills.

She enjoyed attending the Grange Fair Encampment and had first attended when she was only four weeks old. She also enjoyed gardening, water skiing, camping, boating, crocheting, knitting, and spending time with her family.

Surviving her are three daughters, Vickie L. Vallimont of Lewistown, Tonia L. Hall of McClure, and Brenda L. Hall of State College; five grandchildren, Brandy L. Erb (Michael) of McClure, David L. Vallimont of Lewistown, Jacob R. Vallimont of Lewistown, Centrice L. Mulfinger (Luke) of State College, and Chantra L. Hall of Centre County; and five great-grandchildren, Gavin and Ragan Erb, and Mavalynn, Nevin, and Aiden Mulfinger.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of the Memorial Services at 2:30 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Valley View Haven Retirement Chapel, 4702 E. Main St., Belleville, with the Rev. Gerald Peachey officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Centre County Memorial Park in State College.
