Obituary of Norma Dean Aberegg, 87

Norma Dean Aberegg, 87, of Howard, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at her daughter’s residence. Born on January 14, 1928, in Allegan, MI. she was the daughter of the late Otto and Mabel Martin Wendt. On December 30, 1950, she married Jack E. Aberegg, who passed away on July 9, 2015.

She was a 1945 graduate of Allegan High School. Norma was a homemaker until her youngest child entered school. She worked her way up at Great Lakes Casting Corp. to production control manager. She retired in 1983 to support her husband in their move to Bellefonte, Pa. where he continued his career in the lime business.

Norma was a beautiful seamstress, knitter, crocheter and crafter. Her children and grandchildren cherish many of the items she made throughout the years. She and her husband spent many winters in Fla with her siblings, where she was a champion shuffleboarder. In 2000 they settled in Howard, Pa, next to their daughter and family, where they enjoyed their farmette, family get togethers, and the peace and beauty of the mountain.

Norma is survived by her six children; Rita E. Aberegg of Fredericksburg VA, Jeffrey J. Aberegg of Ludington, MI, Jon R. Aberegg and his wife, Jolee, also of Ludington, MI, Timothy D. Aberegg and his wife, Cindy, of Clinton, SC, Dorothy R. Kelley and her husband, William, of Fairfax Station, VA , and Jackie L. Aberegg of Howard. Also surviving is her sister, Ethel Miller of Allegan, MI, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.
