Obituary of Norma Jean Vonada, 84

Norma Jean Vonada, 84, of Bellefonte, passed away Thursday July 16, 2009, at home.

Born July 13, 1925 in Bush Hollow, she was a daughter of the late Lona E. Spotts. In 1964 she married Harold "Shorty" Vonada, who preceded her in death February 20, 2004.

Norma was of the Protestant faith. She was a 1944 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. She had been employed by the Bellefonte Match Factory, Sylvania in Mill Hall, and the Centre Hall Cannery.

Norma is survived by one daughter, Eva Vonada, of Pleasant Gap, and her companion, Thomas Knepp; one son, Kermit Spotts and his wife, Cheryl, of Bellefonte; three grandchildren, Chad Spotts, Kristen Steiner, and Miranda Vonada; and 3 great grandchildren, Summer Williams, Bryce Steiner, and Madison Steiner.

Friends will be received at Wetzler Funeral Service Inc. 206 N Spring St. Bellefonte, Sunday July 19, 2009 from 1 pm till 2 pm. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Frank Skies officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Union Cemetery, Walker Township.
