Norman Lee Hoover, 65, of Howard, beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on March 29, 2010.
Born May 2, 1944 in Flint Mich., he was a son of the late Rufus N. "Popps" Hoover and Eloise "Nanny" Breon Hoover, who survives in Pleasant Gap. He was a graduate of Bellefonte High School, Class of 1962. He worked as an electrician. He had been employed by Penn Trann and Lion Country Electric.
He was a member of the Bellefonte American Legion Post #33, Bellefonte Moose Lodge #206, Lock Haven American Legion #464 and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.) Norman "Just Norm" was an avid outdoorsman.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his children, Kim, Jeff, Timothy "Bo", and Kelly; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Shawn, Tiphany, Nicholas, Laura, Logan, Lakotah, Gannon, Dalton and Maddy; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Gabby, Zach and Ben; and two brothers, Tom and James Hoover. In addition to his friends too numerous to count, "Pappy Norm" loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Patti Orndorf Hoover, of Bellefonte.
A public visitation will be held at Wetzler Funeral Service Inc. in Bellefonte, Thursday, April 1, 2010, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
