Ollie L. Vonada, 94 of State College, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Hearthside Nursing Home in State College. She was born in Orviston on April 16, 1918, the daughter of the late Samuel Shortledge & Rebecca Elizabeth Lucas.
Ollie married John Z. Vonada who preceded her in death on October 30, 1983.
She was a restaurant owner.
She is survived by three sons; Jerry S., Lewis, and David, two daughters; Karen Neidrich, and Jane Fossitt, one sister; Blanche Smith, and fifteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She attended the Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Jacksonville. She was a former member of the Marion Grange. Ollie enjoyed baking pies and loved to sew and crochet.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family and burial will be at the Jacksonville Cemetery at the family convenience.
