Obituary of Patricia A. Kovacs, 66

Patricia A. Kovacs, 66, of rural Bellefonte, died Monday, December 25, 2017 at her residence.

She was born July 1, 1951 at Philadelphia, PA; a daughter of the late Michael and Doris McCloskey Dougherty.

She was preceded in death by her brother Michael Dougherty.

Mrs. Kovacs attended Penn State University and Kutztown University and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.

During her career, she worked for Kutztown University and was a customer service manager for Dun and Bradstreet.

She was an active member of Penns Valley Community Church in Spring Mills.

Surviving Mrs. Kovacs, are two daughters, Sarah E. Yoder (Grant F.) of Pottsville, and Anne C. Yorks, (Christopher A.) of rural Bellefonte; one son Andrew C. Kovacs of Bellefonte; four grandchildren, Patrick Yoder, Grace Yorks, Alexis Yoder and Cecelia Yorks; and one brother, Timothy Dougherty (Ann) of Factoryville.

Patricia loved to go to the beach in Avalon, NJ, read, drink tea, watch Jeopardy with her grand-daughters, and spend time with family and friends.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at 11am on Friday, December 29th at Penns Valley Community Church, 106 School St., Spring Mills. The memorial service will be at the church with the Reverend Thomas Titus officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Penns Valley Youth Center.
