Patricia A. Barnyak, 72, of Pine Glen, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at her home. Born on September 24, 1938, in Moshannon, she was the daughter of the late James W. & Hazel Watson Beals. On May 31, 1958, in Snow Shoe, she married Louis E. Barnyak, who survives at home.
Pat was a 1956 graduate of Snow Shoe High School. She was a member of the Pine Glen United Methodist Church
For 28 years, Pat was employed as a waitress at the Quehanna Motor Lodge in Karthaus, which was once owned by her husband’s late uncles.
Pat was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother who truly loved her family.
Pat is survived by her husband of 53 years, their daughter; Kathy Walizer and her husband, Denny, of Bellefonte, three sons; Troy and his companion, Marge, Shane and his wife, Michelle, and Lance and his wife, Amy, all of Pine Glen. Also surviving are their 10 grandchildren; Wyatt Barnyak, Carrie Barnyak, Dillon Barnyak, Brandon Barnyak, Matthew Barnyak, Cody Barnyak, Chantal Barnyak, Jenna Holt and her husband, Dustin, Jason Walizer, and Jessica Walizer, one sister, Dorothy Folmar and her husband, Jim, of Grassflat, and three brothers; Melvin Beals and his wife, Lona, of Clearfield, Paul Beals of Chambersburg, and Ted Beals and his wife, Gloria, of Winter Haven, FL.
Along with her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her sisters, Marguerite Fanning and Elouise Hauser and by her brother, Evan Beals.
A public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W Sycamore St., Snow Shoe. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11am at the Snow Shoe Christian Alliance Church, 675 E Sycamore St., Snow Shoe, with Pastor Douglas Mottin officiating. Burial will be at Askey Cemetery, Snow Shoe Twp.
