Patricia C. Evock, 80, of Bellefonte, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born on July 1, 1933 in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late George H. and Anna Belle (Sager) Confer.

On July 24, 1954 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte, she was married to Joseph J. Evock who survives at home.

She was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School, class of 1951, and the Lorain Business School in Lorain, Ohio.

Earlier in life, she was employed as a secretary at Citizen’s General Enterprises Inc. in New Kensington. After she retired, she then went back to work as a Pharmacy Technician at Weis Markets in State College.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte.

Mrs. Evock enjoyed being a homemaker, knitting, crotcheting, gardening, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cristina M. Evock-Clover and her husband Thomas of Chesapeake Beach, MD; one sister, Sarah Breon and her husband Thomas of Bellefonte; and her special canine companion, her cocker spaniel, Josey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Caroline Newman, Betty Fanning, and June Bartley; and one brother, Donald Confer.

Family will receive friends from 6 – 7:45 PM on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A Rosary Service will be said at 7:45 PM on Wednesday following the viewing with Deacon Thomas Boldin officiating.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, PA, beginning at 9:30 AM with Father Neil R. Dadey officiating. Burial will follow at Centre County Memorial Park, State College.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Evock’s memory may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Building Fund, 134 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, PA 16823.
