Obituary of Paul A. Hosterman, 87

Paul A. “Molly” Hosterman, 87, of Spring Mills, passed from this life on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at his home. Born March 7, 1929 in Aaronsburg, Molly is a son of the late Paul Z. and Luella Hosterman. He was a 1948 graduate of Gregg Township Vocational School. On December 6, 1972, Molly married Francis L “Starr” Cain who preceded him in death in 2004.

Molly retired from the Poultry Barns at Penn State in 1982 after 31 years of service. He was a longtime member of Gravel Spring Lodge for 59 years. Molly enjoyed Penn State sports, hunting, cooking, basketball, baseball, bowling and attending Grange Fair. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Molly is survived by one daughter, Cindy Conen (Glen) of Missouri; 3 sons, William D. Cain (Kathy) of Bellefonte, Greg A. Cain (Cindy) of Howard and John L. Cain of Spring Mills; two granddaughters, Shannon (Zach) and Jessica; seven grandsons, Lucas (Dana), Josh (Ashley), John II, Nicholas, Caleb, Spencer and Jordan. Also surviving are five great grandchildren, Ethan, Aiden, Ryley, Michael and Matthew; and two sisters Phyllis I. Bressler (Harry) of Rebersburg and Shirley Hosterman of Millheim and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Molly was preceded in death by two brothers Albert R. Hosterman, and Charles “Chuck” Hosterman along with one brother-in-law, Rollin Hosterman.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 25th from 6-9 pm at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Pastor Michael Covalt officiating. Molly will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery.
