Paul E. Lyons, Sr., 63 of Milesburg passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Paul was born on April 25, 1953 in Bellefonte, a son of Evelyn Grove Lyons of Bellefonte and the late Jacob E. Lyons.

On May 11, 1972, he married the former Helen Jukes, who survives at home. Paul is also survived by his daughter, Christina M. (Gary) Lose of Milesburg, his sister, Rose A.M. (Kevin) Spicer of Bellefonte, his four brothers, George W. (Diana) Lyons of Bellefonte, Dan F. (Debbie) Lyons of Howard, John R. (Robin) Lyons of Howard, and Joe A. (Barb) Lyons of Bellefonte, his sister-in-law Karen Lyons of Centre Hall, and his close family member Jody A. (Lea) Caprio of Pleasant Gap. Paul is also survived by his seven grandchildren, John Cantolina-Lyons, Cody Lyons, Krista Butterworth, Austin Lyons, Tyler Lose, Hunter Lose, Steven Lose, and his two great-grandchildren, William Lyons and Bentley Butterworth.

Paul was a 1972 graduate of Bellefonte High School and Centre County Vo-Tech. Paul was a First Class Repairman for Graymont Mining. He was a member of the Milesburg United Methodist Church, Milesburg American Legion Post 893, Liberty Township Sportsman’s Club, State College HOG Group and ABATE. Paul enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, turkey shoots, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his two sons, Paul E. Lyons, Jr., and William W. Lyons, and his brother Jacob E. Lyons, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Ronald E. Baker, officiating. Family and friends will be received at the Faith United Methodist Church, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery, Benner Twp., Centre Co.
