Obituary of Paul V. Myers , 95

Paul V. Myers, 95, of Port Matilda, died Friday, June 17, 2011, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born October 18, 1915, he was a son of the late John and Susan DeArmit Myers. He married Dorothy Brouse, who died Nov. 4, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Joan McCulloch.

He is survived by a son, James E. Myers and his wife, Linda Jacobson, of Jamestown, R.I., a son-in-law, Kenneth McCulloch, and grandsons David McCulloch and Jon McCulloch.

Paul was supervisor of audio-visual services at Penn State for 32 years.

He was a member, trustee and board member of Gray’s United Methodist Church in Stormstown. Paul served on the State College Area School Board, the State College Area Building Authority and the Area Athletic Board. He was a member of the Patton Township Planning Commission and the Lions Club.

He enjoyed collection antiques, woodworking and mowing his splendid lawn.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Friday, June 24, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. His memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Christopher Pfleegor officiating.

Burial will be Boalsburg Cemetery.
