Obituary of Paul Zubler , 83

Paul M. “Tib” Zubler, 83 of rural Spring Mills, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at his residence.

He was born April 23, 1931 at Spring Mills, a son of the late Michael Tibben and Lodie Rishel Zubler.

Paul graduated from Gregg Township High School, where he was active in sports and band. He attended Lock Haven University. For many years he worked as an HVAC estimator for Frazier Electric and C. L. Meyers.

He was associated with St. Johns United Church of Christ in Farmers Mills. He was a social member of American Legion Post 779 at Old Fort, and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks.

Golfing and bowling were among the things he enjoyed most. Early in life he played on local baseball teams, and enjoyed various sports.

Surviving him are his four sons and their wives, Dennis M. Zubler (Linda) of Hummelstown, David C. Zubler (Brenda) of Knoxville, TN, Richard P. Zubler (Tina) of Huntington WV, and M. Thomas Zubler (Jen) of rural Spring Mills; two sisters, Sara Frazier and her husband Ken of Centre Hall and Ruth Boyer of Belleville; 13 grandchildren, Jason Zubler (Devon Weidner), Kiley Peters (Jonathan), Brieanna Zubler, Brook Zubler, Blair Zubler, Trey Zubler, Carley Zubler, Ben Zubler, Garrett Zubler, Samantha Zubler, Alex Zubler, Sarah Zubler and Maureen Zubler; and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four siblings, Mary Bright, John Zubler, James Zubler and Lois Snyder.
