Pauline C. Stonebraker, formerly of Milesburg, passed away on July 30, 2010, in Fort Collins, Colo.

She was born May 19, 1922, the daughter of E. Leonard and Esther Kellerman Rhoads. Pauline was a graduate of Bellefonte High School and on Nov. 10, 1942, she married Ralph Stonebraker. They built a home and lived in Milesburg where they raised their family. Pauline was an active member of her community and she belonged to the Milesburg United Methodist Church, Women's Aglow and Eastern Star. She worked at Morrison's Clover Farm Market and was a postal clerk at the Milesburg Post Office. Before moving to Colo. in 2005, Pauline was a resident of Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg. Pauline was a sincere and generous person who gave her time and resources wherever they were needed. With her humor and kindness, she touched many lives and frequently lifted the spirits of her family and friends.

Pauline is survived by daughter, Arlene (Richard) McMullen, of Fort Collins, Colo.; and son, Robert "Stoney" (Geri) Stonebraker, of Bellefonte; her four grandchildren, Julie McMullen and Robin (Charles) Purnell of Fort Collins, Colo., Frederick (Gina) McMullen, of Glouchester Point, Va., and Joseph Lumpkin, of Washington, DC. Pauline also has eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas (Doris) Rhoads; sisters, Hazel Markle and Esther Thomas, sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Donald Reish, Charles Smith, and Mildred Rhoads; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Lucas and Ruth Smith; a beloved infant sister, Alice Rhoads; and her brother, Leonard Rhoads.

Pauline's family wishes to thank the devoted staff of Pathways Hospice and Columbine Care Center West, both of Fort Collins, Colo., for their care and support.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the Milesburg United Methodist Church.
