Obituary of Pauline Hallberg, 80

Pauline Hallberg, age 80, died on April 26, 2016. She was born on February 2, 1936 in Biggsville, IL the daughter of the late Arthur William and Pauline Fern (Stevenson) Boyer.

On April 17, 1955 she married Milton C. Hallberg who preceded her in death in November 2012.

She is survived by her son, Brian Hallberg of Port Matilda, PA; a grandson, Brandon Hallberg and his wife Emily of Bethesda, MD; and a granddaughter, Gretchen Hallberg of Orlando, FL. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Boyer; her sisters; Dorothy Jacobs; Francis Shaffer; Annis Brewer; and daughter-in-law Nancy (Welsh) Hallberg.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband when he was a visiting scholar in the United States, Europe and Australia as well as many vacations over the years throughout the United States and Canada. She was a homemaker and worked or volunteered at various times. She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and especially visits from friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held 1-3 pm on May 21, 2016 at Heintzelman Funeral Home, 1034 Benner Pike, State College . A private burial service will be held in the Boalsburg Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Centre Volunteers in Medicine, 2520 Green Tech Drive, Suite D, State College, PA 16803, or Penn State THON, 227D Hetzel Union Building, University Park, PA 16802.
