Phyllis C. Neff, 90, of Bellefonte, passed away April 30, 2015, at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte. On January 12, 1925 she was born on the family farm in Fillmore to the late Henry and Mary Kathryn Foor Rockey. On May 3, 1944, she married her childhood sweetheart Harold Neff, who preceded her in death on November 4, 2008.
She was a graduate of State College Area High School.
Phyllis worked as a sales clerk for Turner Department Store until their closing.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.
She was also a member of the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Jay) Galbraith of Zion, her granddaughter, Tara (John) May of Wilson, WY, her great-granddaughter, Scarlett Galbraith of Zion, and also a granddaughter-in-law Eliza Matis and her daughter Harper of Zion.
Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by three sisters: Hazel Watson, Audrey Miller, and Beverly Seaward; five brothers: Trueman Rockey, Carl Rockey, Kermit Rockey, Robert Cecil Rockey, and Ronald Rockey. Her grandson Joshua Galbraith preceded her in death on October 16, 2008.
There will be a public visitation held Monday, May 4, 2015, from 6pm until 8pm at the Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 11:00am at the funeral home with the Pastor Brian Vosey officiating.
Burial will follow at Meyer Cemetery in Benner Township.
