Phyllis J. Spicer, 81, of Bellefonte, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 11, 2015, in Bellefonte. She was born on October 4, 1933, in Bucklin, KS and is the daughter of the late Frank and Esther (Stude) King. She married Walter L. “Lynn” Spicer, Jr. who preceded her in death on June 27, 2003.

She graduated from Leon High School in Leon Kansas. She also attended Emporia State Teachers College in Kansas.

Phyllis worked for the Penn State University as a secretary until she retired.

She was a member of the Calvary Bible Church in Centre Hall.
Phyllis is survived by five daughters; Linda Wentz of Nicholson, PA, Patricia Reish of Bellefonte, PA, Barbara Bartholomew of Macungie, PA, Karen Beckman of Pottstown, PA and Sandra Mansfield of Shannock, RI, by one son, Ron Spicer of Hatboro, PA, one sister; Ruth Cramer of Hutchinson, KS, one brother, Richard King of Joplin, MO, twenty two grandchildren, and twenty five great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one son, Richard Spicer and one brother, Frank King.

There will be no public visitation.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at 2 p.m., at the Calvary Bible Church in Centre Hall with the Pastor Rick Gilbaugh, Pastor Jim Wentz, and Pastor Kevin Mansfield officiating.

Burial will follow at Centre County Memorial Park in College Township.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Bible Church at 600 North Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA 16828, or to the Centre County Christian Academy, at 100 Hertzler Drive, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
