Randolph “Randy” D. Brumgard, Sr., 75, of Zion, died on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born on October 20, 1938, in Lock Haven, he was the second of eleven children to the late Richard C. and Edith Miller Brumgard, Sr.

Randy attended the Lock Haven High School. He was a carpenter by trade and was a member of several local unions during his career. He owned and operated his own residential/industrial construction company. Randy was a Carpenter Superintendent for Ebasco Construction at South Texas Nuclear Project in Wadsworth, TX during construction of the plant.
Randy loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a hunting guide for his uncle’s outfitting company in Colorado and loved to spend time in the mountains with his family. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Randy is survived by his wife, Connie; and their three children, son, Master Sgt. Randolph “Randy” D. Brumgard, Jr. and his wife, Major Helen “Suh” Brumgard of Fort Bragg, NC; daughters, Lisa Toner and her companion, Doug Minor of Fairmont, WV and Laurie O’Connell and her husband, Dennis of Zion.
Also surviving are his four grandchildren; Faith Harley, Grace Morgan Brumgard, Joshua Young and his wife, Tina, and Bobbie DeWitt, and her husband, Timothy Sr.; five great grandchildren, Trina and Madison Young, Kelsie, Tim, and Matt DeWitt; two sisters, Vickie Burkett and her husband, Roger of Dunnstown, and Candy Reeder and her husband, Phillip of Lock Haven; seven brothers, Richard C. and his wife, Kay of Casa Grande AZ, Jake and his wife, Linnie of McElhattan, Robert of Robertsville, MO, William and his wife, Pam of Clintonville, NY, Dr. Fount B. PhD. and his wife, Marsha of Hendersonville, NC, Joseph of Lock Haven, and Michael and his wife, Pam of Dunnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James.

Viewing will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 6-8pm at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Ruth Jensen officiating. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery, Walker Twp.
