Obituary of Raymond Watson, 71

Raymond Watson, 71, of Bellefonte, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Born on October 2, 1941, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Dennis M. and Lois (Shawley) Watson. On September 9, 1962, at United Church of Christ in Bellefonte, he married Nancy (Vonada) Watson, who survives at home.

He was a 1959 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. Raymond was a foreman for Marble Head Lime Company and a local barber for many years. He was a member of United Church of Christ in Bellefonte, Bellefonte Lodge # 268 F&AM, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Fireman’s Association, Bellefonte Undine Fire Company, American Legion Post #33, Liberty Township Sportsman’s Club and an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. He also enjoyed amateur photography.

Along with his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jackie Corl and her husband Galen of Stormstown, two sons; Mark Watson and his wife Sue of Bellefonte, David Watson and his wife Nancy of Bellefonte and by six grandchildren; Garrett Corl and his wife Nikki of Richmond, VA, Brittany Corl of South Bend, IN, Matt and Greg Watson and Shelby and Cody Watson, all of Bellefonte.
There will be a public visitation held on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Masonic service held to be held at 7:45pm.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with (Pastor/Reverend) Warren Schutzenberger officiating.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
