Obituary of Richard L. “Dutch” Confer, 76

Richard L. “Dutch” Confer, 76, of Bellefonte, passed from this life on October 20, 2013 at Huntingdon Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on May 4, 1937, Richard is a son of the late Pauline M. Wingard. He was a 1957 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School. Richard was employed as a carrier for Central County Bank and later worked in the maintenance department at Toftrees. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and butchering.

Richard is survived by one stepson, Richard T. Confer; one grandson, Jacob Confer, both of Chapel Hill, NC and numerous cousins.

Richard will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Millheim during a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dutch may be sent to the charity of donor's choice.
