Richard L. Williams, 75, of State College, died Sunday June 12, 2011 at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte.
Born Feb. 3, 1936, in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late Dr. Warren Williams and Ellen Ogden Williams. On Jan. 19, 1977, he married Sheila Cook, who survives.
Also surviving is his son, Daniel Williams and stepson James Sneeringer, both of State College, and two brothers, Barry O. Williams and his wife, Vicki, of Harrisburg, and Scott A. Williams and his wife, Diane, of Bellefonte.
Richard served in the U.S. Army. He earned both a Bachelors and a Masters in Agriculture from Penn State. He worked at Penn State as a research aide in corn breeding.
He liked to hunt and fish.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. A memorial service will follow at 11:15 a.m. with Monsignor David A. Lockard officiating.
