Obituary of Rita Kharitonova, 77

Rita Kharitonova, 77, a resident of State College died on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in a tragic accident.

Born April 13, 1939, in the Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Nesanel and Rachel Goldfurb Kurt.

On May 23, 1963, she married the late Iouri Kharitonov and spent blissful 50 and a half years with him.

She was a beautiful, loving woman who did everything she could for her daughter, Vicka Pevzner, and two grandchildren, Arkasha and Paulina Pevzner.

Rita had worked as a chemist and then in the high administrative position at the research institute in Moscow. She retired in 1995 and moved to State College soon after to be with her daughter.

Friends will be received for a memorial service at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, at 1 pm on Friday, January 6, 2017.
