Obituary of Robert D. Cain, 74

Robert D. Cain, 74, of Howard, passed away in Burnside Twp., Centre Co. on Monday, November 27, 2017. He was born in Bellefonte on October 14, 1943, the son of the late Robert Lee and Edna Packer Cain. Bob married the former Connie A. Prisk (Cain) who survives at home. He was a laborer in the maintenance department at Graymont Lime Company. Bob was a member of the Milesburg American Legion Post# 893, a former Boy Scout leader for Troop #52 in Zion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time baking with his granddaughter, Amara.

Along with his wife he is survived by his two sons, William B. Cain of Howard and Donald S. (Robin) Cain of State College; his four sisters, Hannah Murgas of Lincoln, NE, Mabel “Kate” Summers of Wingate, Shirley Cain of Bellefonte, Nora Helmick of Davie, FL. and his granddaughter, Amara Cain. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Robert J. Cain and his sister, Helen “Sis” Cain.

Family and friends will received at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring Street, Milesburg on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:30 with
Pastor Ronald E. Baker officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, P.O. Box 288, 201 Spring Street, Milesburg, Pa. 16853 in memory of Robert Cain.
