Obituary of Robert F. Weaver , 76

Robert F. Weaver, 76, of Mill Hall, died on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at his home.

Born on Nov. 13, 1932 in Mill Hall, he was a son of the late Mildred Downs Lyons & Randall H. J. Weaver. He was also the stepson of the late Clair Lyons. He was married to Ruby L. Jeirles who preceded him in death.

Bob was a graduate of the Mill Hall High School He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Army-Air Force. He was a machine operator at the Hammermill Paper Co. & had also worked earlier in his life as a bartender at American Legion Post 131, Lock Haven. He was a life member of American Legion Post 131, Lock Haven & a former member of the Moose Lodge # 100 also in Lock Haven. Bob had been a volunteer for the American Cancer Society & formerly volunteered at the S.P.C.A.

He is survived by four daughters, Cindy Simcox, Mill Hall, Carol Summerson, Chester, Va., and Pamela & Janie both of Ariz.; five sons, Robert F. Weaver, Jr., Marietta, Ga. Clair Weaver, Huntersville, N.C., David Weaver, Flemington; Wayne Jeirles, Milesburg and Gregory Fravel, Port Matilda; two sisters, Marie O'Connor, Melville, N.Y. & Lucille Schimel, Lock Haven. Mr. Weaver is also survived by numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry & David Weaver.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 3, 2009 at 1:30 PM in the Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. Funeral Home, Mill Hall with Rev. Valerie Delooze officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall. Visitation will be on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009 from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
