Obituary of Robert Gleeson, 76

Robert C. Gleeson, 76, of Centre Hall, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Born on September 15, 1940, in Newark, NJ. He was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Shaw Gleeson.
Robert was a 1958 graduate of Pascack Valley High School, in Hillsdale, NJ. He was of the protestant faith. He was enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Robert owned his own trucking company, R.C. Gleeson Trucking, retiring in 2000.

Robert was an enthusiast of model trains. He enjoyed Spikes and Penn State baseball, and watching all the sports that involved the Penns Valley sports program. He especially liked watching his grandchildren involved in sports.

Robert is survived by his three daughters, Sherry L. Gyuro of Warwick, NY, Stacey L. Gleeson of Newtown, PA, and Stephanie L. Ripka and her husband, Keith, of Centre Hall. Also surviving are his five grandchildren; Sky Lynn, Garrett, Sophie, Blaine, and Stephen, his sister, Jacqueline Engle and her husband, Walter, of Venice, FL, his former wife, Sandra L. Jordan, and his feline friend, Lucky.

Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a son in-law, Edward Gyuro and a sister, Patricia Gleeson.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 10-11am at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Centre Hall. Funeral service will be at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery in Centre Hall.
