Obituary of Robert H. Beaty, 69

Robert H. Beaty, 69 of Blanchard, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Jersey Shore Manor Care. He was born on December 29, 1946, the son of the late William Harris and Lila Tressler Beaty. He married Joyce A. Heverly on June 17, 1967, she survives at home.

He graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1964. He attended one year of barber school. Bob was a barber in Centre & Clinton Co. for 46 years and owner and operated Beaty's Barber Shop in Blanchard and Beech Creek for many years.Bob was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church, Beech Creek/Blanchard Jaycees, a Boy Scout Leader for many years, avid Penn State Fan, and he participated in Clinton Co. Big Brothers Program. He was also affiliated with the Smile Program at Keystone Central School District.

He is survived along with his wife, one sister; Margie (Elmer) Phillips of Sugar Run, one niece and three nephews on the Beaty side; Tina , Carl, Boyd, and Neil Phillips, and sixteen nieces and nephews on the Heverly side.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Manor Care at Jersey shore for the wonderful care given to Bob over the past year and a half.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Liberty Baptist Church, Main and Bald Eagle St., Blanchard with the Rev. Dr. Chris Davis officiating. Friends and family will be received from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the church on Thursday, August 25, 2016. Burial will be at the Baptist Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
