Obituary of Robert Huff, 75

Robert E. Huff, 75, of State College, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at home.

Born January 10, 1942, in Madisonville, he was the son of the late Norman W. and Ruth Walker Huff. On April 25, 1961 he married Janet Salisbury, who survives.

Also surviving are two children, Lisa Renee Huff of State College and Robert E. Huff Jr. and his wife, Juhaina Al-Tikrity of Karthaus; one brother, James Huff and his wife, Tammy, of Akron, OH: seven grandchildren, Junaida, Jessica, Jordan, Jocelyn, Janessa, Felix, and Elijah; three great-grandchildren, James, Gerika and Zayden.

Robert was a 1960 graduate of North High School in Akron, OH. He received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Akron in 1963. Robert received his Master's degree in 1964 and a PhD in 1969 in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina.

Robert retired in 1995 after 26 years as a Mathematics Professor at Penn State University.

He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, the American Math Association and the University of North Carolina Alumni Association.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.
