Obituary of Robert L. 'Bob' Boone, 78

Robert L. “Bob” Boone, Sr, 78, of Lamar, formerly of Marsh Creek, passed away at his home on March 24, 2018. Born on September 29, 1939, in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Eleanor Heichel Boone. On April 5, 1994, in Winchester, VA, he married Sarah E. “Sally” Catherman who survives at home.

Bob attended the Lock Haven High School. He was employed as a Welder for Piper Aircraft, then he became a self-employed contractor for many years. Lastly, he worked for Paul Dotterer and Sons, retiring after 10 years of service.

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved to go for rides in the mountains and to go to Benezette to see the Elk. Bob looked forward to family gatherings.

Bob is survived by his children; Teresa M. Rimmey and her husband, Delbert, of Howard, Robert L. Boone, Jr and his companion, Debbie Poole, of Fleming, Lori A. Losch and her husband, Rob, of Eagleville, David E. Tice and his wife, Michele, of Jersey Shore, and Daniel J. Tice and his wife, Phoebe, of Lock Haven. Also surviving are his 9 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother, Grant, Boone of Howard, one sister, Relda Williams of Howard, and his K-9 companion, Buddy.

Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Boone, and two sisters; Lois Miller and Marjorie Richner.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, there will be no public services.
