Robert Lee “Bob” Vallimont, 81, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, College Twp. after a long battle with heart disease. Born on February 1, 1928, in Keewaydin, Clearfield County, he was the son of the late Daniel L. and Alta M. Rider Vallimont. On May 24, 1952, he married Donna Rae Oswalt, who survives at home.
Bob attended the Clearfield area schools. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. For his service, he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal. Bob was employed as a Field Service Technician by RS Carlin for over 30 years and Mitchell Oil Company in Philipsburg, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Clarence United Methodist Church.
For many years, Bob was active in the Snow Shoe Ambulance Association. He was a member of the Bellefonte Masonic Lodge No.268, F.&A.M. and Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Centre Forest No. 129. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
