Obituary of Robert Poorman, 80

Robert O.”Bob” Poorman, 80, of Milesburg, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Juniper Village. Born on November 24, 1935, in State College, he was the son of the late Orvis M. and Hazel M. (Whitehill) Poorman. On November 22, 1968, he married Yovonne Breon Poorman, who preceded him in death.

Bob was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, Michigan. He was a maintenance supervisor in the Department of Chemistry at Penn State University. Bob served in the United States Army. He was a member of the State College Lodge No. 700 Free and Accepted Masons.

He is survived by one sister, Donna Heringa of Florida.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Scotty.

There will be a public visitation held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte.

Funeral services and a masonic service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Reverend Carl Campbell officiating.
