Obituary of Robert R. Rimmey , 87

Robert R. Rimmey, 87, of Millheim, died on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Centre Crest in Bellefonte.

Born on August 1, 1923 in Harris Twp., Centre Co., he is the son of the late Charles Gilbert and Esther Regina (Bitner) Rimmey.

On February 24, 1945, he was married to Dorothy Pauline Dashem, who survives at home.

Mr. Rimmey farmed most of his life, both on his own farm and for the Penn State Dairy Breeding Research Barn in State College.

He is also survived by one daughter, Beverly J. Confer (Eugene) of Spring Mills; three sons, Lynn R. Rimmey (Clara M.) of Centre Hall, Eugene L. Rimmey (Audrey) of Aaronsburg, and Barry L. Rimmey (Deb) of Leavensworth, KS; one brother, Harry Shannon Rimmey (Susan) of CA; one sister in law, Bernice Rimmey of Centre Hall; and eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Witmer; and three brothers, Daniel, Harold, and David Rimmey.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery in Tusseyville.
