Robert J. Reeder Sr. March 24, 1933 July 31, 2013 Robert J. Reeder, Sr., 80, of Bellefonte, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, College Township, Centre County.

Bob was born March 24, 1933, in Spring Township, the son of the late Wilbur and Ethel Bell Reeder. On Sept. 11, 1954, he married the former Jane M. Lucas, who survives at home.

He was employed by the Army Reserve Center in Bellefonte. Bob was an avid bowler, he was a member of the Seven Mountains Bowling Association Hall of Fame and was a past member of P.B.A. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool, playing horseshoes. He was a life member of Bellefonte V.F.W. #1600 and the Milesburg American Legion Post #893. Bob was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was of the Protestant Faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five daughter, Barbara L. Plessinger, of York, Bonnie M. Kline, Betty M. Simco, Beth A. Reeder and Beatrice J. Jabco, all of Bellefonte; two sons, Robert J. Reeder, Jr. and William M. Reeder, both of Bellefonte; two sisters, Nancy Tressler and Judy Mitchell, both of Bellefonte; 20 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William T. and Anna Reeder; a sister, Betty Bond; four brothers, Gerald "Skip" Reeder, Larry Auman, Barry Auman and Denny Auman.

Services will be held at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Douglas W. Mellott officiating. Family and Friends will be received Friday, August 2, 2013, from 6 -8 p.m. Burial will be in Eagle Cemetery, Boggs Township, Centre County,where Military Honors will be accorded. Arrangements are under the direction of Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg.
