Obituary of Ronald C. Bostian, 68

Ronald C. Bostian, 68 of Milesburg, died Jan. 23, 2011 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born July 23, 1942, in Bellefonte, he was a son of the late Elwood C. and Genevieve Milton Bostian. He married the former Nancy G. Lucas on August 24, 1963. She survives at home. He was a 1960 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was a machinist at Cerro for 40 years, having retired in 2003. He was a member of the Milesburg Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed woodworking, attending craft shows as a vendor and bird watching. He was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his animals.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Linda C. (Barry) Moyer of Julian; one son, Thomas R. (Susan) Bostian of Bath; and six grandchildren, Tara (Nick) Pollick, Benjamin Moyer, T. J. Bostian, Mary Bostian, Catherine Bostian, and Harrison Bostian. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Jackson.

Services will be held Friday, January 28, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the Milesburg Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Barbara Mosch officiating. Friends will be received Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, College Township.
