Obituary of Roy E McCauley, 80

Roy E. McCauley, 80, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on October 18, 1934, in Lamar, he was the son of the late John A. and Olive R. Zimmerman McCauley. On June 12, 1955, in Logan Mills, he married Elizabeth M. Moyer who survives at home.

Roy was a 1952 graduate of Lock Haven High School. He was employed as a Professional Plasterer for Zimmerman Plastering Co. for 27 years and then went to work at the Lock Haven University in the Maintenance Department, retiring in 2003 after 13 years of service.

Roy was a member of the Lock Haven Seventh Day Adventist Church where he served as Head Elder for over 50 years. He loved going to his basement and working on woodworking projects. He enjoyed helping his son on the farm and riding the homemade dune buggy.

Roy is survived by his wife, son; Rodney R. McCauley and his wife, Bobbi, of Wellsboro, and his two grandchildren; John McCauley and his wife, Katrina, and Darrel McCauley.

A celebration of Roy’s life will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Lock Haven Seventh Day Adventist Church, 612 Fredrick St, Lock Haven at 2pm with Pastor Anthony Crawford officiating.

Family requests no flowers; instead make a donation in Roy’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
