Russell L. Myers, 86, of Milesburg passed away at Mount Nittany Medical Center, Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Russ was born on May 10, 1931, in Bellefonte, a son of the late James L. and Madeline McClellan Meyers. On August 22, 1952, he married L. Ann Sents who survives at home.

Russ is also survived by his daughters, Carol A. (Dave) Breon of Bellefonte, Traci D. Struble (her companion, Don Smith) of Bellefonte, and his sons, Russ L. (Michele) Myers of Port Matilda and Steve P. (Denise) Myers of Mechanicsburg. Russ is also survived by his grandchildren, Kristi (Jeff) Schuster of Bellefonte, Jerod Myers of Jerusalem, Israel, Stephanie Myers of Mechanicsburg, Aaron Struble of Bellefonte, Travis (Ali) Struble of Hopkinsville, KY, Kylie Struble of Beech Creek, and Ethan Struble of Bellefonte; and his great – grandchildren, Ryleigh Dann, Colton Struble and Charlee Ann Struble, and his brother, Phillip Meyers of Lakeland, FL.

Russ was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Russ was an electrician at Cerro Metal Products in Bellefonte, before his retirement.

Russ enjoyed bowling and camping, but his biggest enjoyment and pleasure came from being with his family and grandchildren.

He was of the Methodist Faith. He was a former member of the C. H. & L. Fire Co. # 9 of Milesburg, Milesburg American Legion Post 893, Undine Fire Co. #2 of Bellefonte and Cove Hunting Camp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Shriners Children Hospital , 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505, in memory of Russell L. Myers.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 1P.M. – 2 P.M. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home 201 Spring St., Milesburg, PA with funeral services to follow at 2P.M. with Rev. Thomas Jacobs, of Washington, NC officiating.
Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery, Benner Twp., Centre Co., PA.
