Obituary of Russell Schindler, 85

Russell C. Schindler, 85, of Milesburg passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015. He was born on March 22, 1930 in Milesburg, the son of the late John H. and Gladys Peters Schindler. In 1956 he married the former Marjorie DeHass (Schindler) who preceded him in death.

Russ was a truck driver for the Pepsi Co. He served his country in the Navy. He was a life member of the Citizens Hook and Ladder #9 in Milesburg. Russ enjoyed going to the races in Port Royal since 1956.

He is survived by his two sisters; Edna Price of Sandy Ridge and Connie Swabb. Along with his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by his six brothers; Richard E. Schindler, Sr., Henry Schindler, Arthur Schindler, William George Schindler, Robert Schindler, John Schindler and also his two sisters, Lois Steiner and Betty Davis.

Family and friends will be received at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring Street, Milesburg, Pa. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Schencks Cemetery, Howard Twp., Centre Co., Pa.
