Obituary of Ruth Dillon , 97

Ruth K. Dillon, 97, of rural Julian passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at her sons residence in Cedar Park, Texas. Ruth was born in Beech Creek on May 4, 1918, the daughter of the late Flemuel and Sybilla DeHaas Rupert.

On December 28, 1935 she married James C. Dillon, Sr. who preceded her in death on April 4, 2008. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling, flowers, cooking and baking. She was a member of the Julian United Methodist Church, which is now the Christ's United Methodist Church.

Ruth is survived by her two sons, James C. Dillon, Jr. of Cedar Park, Texas and Gary W. (Margene) Dillon of Julian, her eight grandchildren, her twenty two great grandchildren and her sixteen great great grandchildren. Ruth was the last of her generation.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sylvia Dawn Dillon and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Dillon on September 8, 2014.

Services will be held at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring Street, Milesburg, Pa. on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Robert Maurer officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., the time of the service. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery, Huston Twp., Centre Co., Pa.
