Obituary of Ruth E. Leslie, 86

Ruth E. Leslie, 86, of York, formerly of Woodward, passed from this life on March 25, 2016 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in York. Born May 22, 1929 in Allentown, Ruth was a daughter of the late Arthur Paul and Anna Mary (Crater) Gill.

Ruth was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in York. She retired from the Silk Mill in Mifflinburg. She enjoyed sewing, traveling on bus trips and she was a dog lover. Ruth is survived by one daughter, Carol L. Irwin of WA, one sister, Betty I. Watson and one brother, Arthur Gill both of York. She was preceded in death by siblings Minnie Pressler, Pearl Hafer and Samuel, Paul and William Gill.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 1-2 pm at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, 120 W. Main Street, Millheim. The funeral service will follow at 2pm with Rev. Marvin Freed officiating. Ruth will be laid to rest in the Woodward Cemetery.
